Mark 11:24, James 1:6 NIV 2011

Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.

Jesus challenged His disciples to have faith. Mark 11:22, “‘Have faith in God,’ Jesus answered.” He reminded them of that as they walked with Him to the cross. Prayers of faith would sustain them when He was gone. Jesus called them to pray in faith. James was a church leader in Jerusalem. James wrote to encourage God’s people to remain faithful and pray when trials assail. James 5:15, “And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well…” Believers are called to pray in faith.

We received a text last night that our oldest grandson was being taken to the hospital. He’d taken a spill on his bike and hit his head. I immediately sent an email to my pastor and texts to my fellow prayer team members. Then a text to my sister and two nieces as well as another prayer warrior. It was my first thought: I need to pray with others praying in faith with me. This morning he was released and is resting at home in the guest room instead of his. Blessed by all those who prayed in faith with me.

Who needs our prayers of faith?
