Daniel 12:9-10 NIV 2011
He replies, “Go your way, Daniel, because the words are rolled up and sealed until the time of the end. Many will be purified, made spotless and refined, but the wicked will continue to be wicked. None of the wicked will understand, but those who are wise will understand.
Daniel authored the book that shares his name. Jesus referred to Daniel’s words in Matthew 24:15, “‘the abomination that causes desolation,’ spoken of through the prophet Daniel.” God’s Words to Daniel were given in a vision concerning the end times. Daniel was instructed to seal up the vision to be seen at a future date. Revelation 22:10, “Then he told me, ‘Do not seal up the words of prophecy of this scroll because the time is near.’” Choosing to follow Jesus Christ purifies and makes believers spotless by refining them. Jesus went to the cross to save sinners who place their faith Him.
Having studied the book of Revelation has given me much greater insight and confidence in sharing information from the book of Daniel. God called Daniel just as He calls pastors, missionaries or others who share His Word. And like John, Daniel was given specific information regarding God’s sovereignty over this world. Daily I see a much different world than the one where I began my journey. Jesus went to the cross for every sinner; by faith I chose to follow Him.
Where will I share His Good News today?
Following Him forever together,
