Psalm 11:4, Habakkuk 2:20 NIV 2011

The Lord is in his holy temple; the Lord is on his heavenly throne. He observes everyone on earth; his eyes examine them.

The Lord is in his holy temple; let all the earth be silent before him.

The Sovereign Lord judges everyone according to His perfect plan. Micah 1:2, “Hear, you peoples, all of you, listen, earth and all who live in it, that the Sovereign Lord may bear witness against you, the Lord from his holy temple.” The Lord expects His people to silently wait for His direction. Zechariah 2:13, “Be still before the Lord, all mankind, because he has roused himself from his holy dwelling.” The idols of the people did not protect them so they silently sought the Lord of all. God calls the righteous to humbly and silently seek Him.

I love how God uses my life experiences guiding me to His Word and the daily verses. These versus have been rattling around in my brain all morning. I’m humbled when He uses my husband to get me back on His perfect path. I can get a little testy at times when I’m in the kitchen because I like to be there alone. Last night was no different, as my husband needed something right where I was. Rather than keep silent, a sharp barb was out of my mouth before I knew it. Humbly and silently seeking Him now.

What keeps us from seeking Him?

Seeking God together,
