Isaiah 14:24-25 NIV 2011

The Lord Almighty has sworn, “Surely, as I have planned, so it will be and as I have purposed, so it will happen. I will crush the Assyrian in my land; on my mountains I will trample him down. His yoke will be taken from my people, and his burden removed from their shoulders.”

Isaiah, God’s prophet to Jerusalem and Judah prophesied judgment and restoration to God’s chosen people. All the data God gave Isaiah took place through the nefarious hands of Assyria and Babylon. God is sovereign and uses others to accomplish His perfect purposes. Isaiah 37:36, “Then the angel of the Lord went out and put to death eighty-five thousand in the Assyrian camp.” Matthew 11:29, “Take my yoke upon you…and you will find rest for your soul.” Believers are not to be yoked to anyone other than Jesus. What God plans always happens.

The times in my life when I’ve experienced the greatest difficulties are those when I’ve followed others not believing Christians. Each time it has been His moment to reveal to me His perfect plan. He gives me boundless insight in to where precisely He is leading me away from those individuals. He desires me to daily stand firm in His promises relying completely on Him. Though it is difficult to navigate through rough seas, He is my North Star. I know what He’s planed will always happen.

Where do we see His perfect plan for our life?

Waiting patiently,

S
