1 John 5:1-3a NIV 2011

Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the father loves his child as well. This is how we know that we love the children of God: by loving God and carrying out his commands. In fact, this is love for God: to keep his commands.

Jesus revealed to His disciples He was the Messiah. John 3:15, “That everyone who believes may have eternal life in him.” John’s letter repeated much the same reminder. 1 John 4:15, “If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God.” They were born again. 1 John 4:7, “Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.” His letter was written to confirm their salvation was eternally safe and secure. Faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ secures sinners salvation.

Walking with Jesus I’ve learned one thing, I need to daily walk by faith. My faith is grounded upon Jesus Christ. This makes my walk easier than those who walk alone. Being sure beyond a shadow of a doubt where I will spend eternity keeps my cup overflowing. Faithfully spending time in God’s Word each day strengthens and supports my faith. Time spent in fellowship with other believers enriches my faith. Praying keeps my line of communication open to the Father. Jesus died to save a sinner like me.

How do our lives reflect our faith?

Secure saved sinners,

S

  1. Hi Sally, I have been searching for a better direction to witness more of my faith to others. The Lord Has led me in another direction from Bsf. I have walked with Him through Bsf for 20 plus years and now it is time to move on in my faith. I felt so blessed to have met you at the New Albany Bsf location. Keep your light shining my dear friend in Christ!

    1. Hi Linda! Thank you for sharing your update. I understand leaving BSF. The first time I left God used me in my church in many ways but he brought me back eventually. The first time I met you at BSF, I saw the light of Jesus beaming from you. He will use you where ever you go, I know that. It has been such a blessing to have met you and many of your family.
Thank you for all you have done at BSF and I can’t wait to hear how God will use you next.
Have a blessed Thanksgiving and Christmas.
      Hugs and much love,
      Sally
