Psalm 16:10-11 NIV 2011
Because you will not abandon me to the realm of the dead, nor will you let your faithful one see decay. You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.
Knowing God as he did, David chose a personal prayer relationship with the Lord. David put his faith in the Lord and that led to his ability to trust Him in the hard places. Psalm 86:13, “For great is your love toward me; you have delivered me from the depths, from the realm of the dead.” David saw God’s presence continually and he focused on Him through prayer. Psalm 21:7, “For the king trusts in the Lord; through the unfailing love of the Most High he will not be shaken.” Time spent in prayer produces God’s presence, encouragement and guidance.
As a follower of Jesus Christ, like David I’m able to trust the Lord in all the hard places of life. Over 45 years ago I trusted the Lord as we walked our sweet Mandi into eternity. Transitioning from a family of five to a family of four was at times difficult. Through it all I trusted the Lord was with me guiding us on our way. She will be there for that grand reunion when we’re together again. Praying God encourages and guides me by being present daily.
