Record my misery; list my ears on your scroll—are they not in your record?
In God, whose word I praise, in the Lord, whose word I praise—in God I trust and am not afraid. What can man do to me?
Another Psalm “of David.” Specifically “When the Philistines had seized him in Gath.” He offered a prayer to God asking for help when threated by his enemies. David’s prayer included his personal reminder that God knew all that had happened before and was aware of his situation. He praised God because He could always trust God even when the path forward seemed unassailable and arduous. Psalm 55:23, “But as for me, I trust in you.” He had no fear because he trusted God. Proverbs 3:5, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart.” God cares for those who trust in Him.
Without a shadow of a doubt, God loves me more than I will ever understand or know. He is with me daily as He has been since that day I chose to follow Jesus. He knows every heartache as well as every valley I’ve walked. Just as He helped David and others in the Bible, He helps me. Leaning into Him I trust in Him with my whole heart. He has shown me over and over again through His Word that He remains with those who trust in Him.
