1 Kings 8:20 NIV 2011

“The Lord has kept the promise he made; I have succeeded David my father and now I sit on the throne of Israel, just as the Lord promised, and I have built the temple for the Name of the Lord, the God of Israel.

King Solomon called for the Ark of the Covenant to be placed inside the newly built Temple. 1 Kings 8:10, “When the priests withdrew from the Holy Place, the cloud filled the temple of the Lord.” Solomon spoke to the assembled masses and encouraged them that God fulfilled His promise; David’s son would build the Temple. 2 Samuel 7:12, “When your days are over…I will raise up your offspring to succeed you…and I will establish his kingdom.” Solomon completed the Temple. 1 Chronicles 28:6, “Solomon your son is the one who will build my house.” God is faithful and true to His Word.

Retirement can sometimes be a leap of faith. Having enough money to continue to live a comfortable life was our goal early in our marriage. 401K’s were opened and funded with as much as we were allowed to contribute. Crunching the numbers yesterday and after three years our finances remain exactly where they should be. It humbles me to see how God has provided abundantly through each investment we’ve made even purchasing a condo and now our home. Daily God is faithful and true to His Word.

Where is God’s faithfulness visible each day?

Together faithfully His,
