Acts 23:11-12 NIV 2011

The following night the Lord stood near Paul and said, “Take courage! As you have testified about me in Jerusalem, so you must also testify to Rome.”

The next morning some Jews formed a conspiracy and bound themselves with an oath not to eat or drink until they had killed Paul.

Paul was God’s choice to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with the Gentiles. He remained with Paul at all times. Acts 18:9, “One night the Lord spoke to Paul in a vision, ‘Do not be afraid, keep on speaking do not be silent.’” God encouraged him like Jesus did the disciples. Matthew 14:27, “But Jesus immediately said to them, ‘Take courage. It is I. Don’t be afraid.’” God was with Paul protecting him before the Jew’s plot was executed. God faithfully remains with those that share the Good News.

As I sat this morning finishing Fourth Day’s BSF lesson, this verse was the last verse I read. God spoke to Paul and told Him to “Take courage.” In light of the current events I have another life verse. It doesn’t matter where we are in our lives God is with us just as He was with Paul. There is nothing that happens that He does not know. I felt God’s comfort and challenge with those words. God is with me and daily I’ll faithfully share the Good News of Jesus Christ.

How will we share Jesus today?

Ready to share Jesus together,
