1Timothy 2:4 2Timothy 2:25

Who wants all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Opponents must be gently instructed in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth.

Paul’s letter to Timothy gave him the blueprint to guard the Gospel of Jesus Christ, as did his letter to Titus. Titus 1:1, “Paul, a servant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ to further the faith of God’s elect and their knowledge of the truth that leads to godliness.” God’s Truth is revealed through time spent with the Lord. Knowledge of Jesus’ sin sacrifice offers believers opportunities to uncover and confess sinful behavior. Hebrews 10:28, “If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sin is left.” Knowledge of God’s truth leads to godliness in His people.

Over the years it’s become clear I need to spend time daily in God’s Word. That is the only way my walk with the Lord grows and those unconfessed sins come to light. When I finally figured out there is no gray area with God, it altered my outlook on life. God’s Word is true and I need to live my life reflecting His truth. God knows everything. Therefore there is nothing I can hide from Him. When I’m bathed in His truth, He uses me for His glory.

How do Christian’s reflect godliness?

Bathed in God’s truth together,
