Psalm 139:1,7,13,23 NIV2011
You have searched me. Lord, and you know me.
Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence?
For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.
David’s prayer to God asked Him to examine his heart. Job and David each stated their unfailing loyalty to God. They both ask God to examine their inmost being. David first stated that God knew him perfectly. He then confessed he could not hide because there was no escaping God’s presence. God put David together perfectly and numbered his days, knowing him completely. David asked for God’s help with his enemies and finally asked his last question. Once again, he sought God for a complete physical; he needed God to examine his heart motives. God is omnipresent.
Have you ever seen someone post “share and you’ll be blessed.” All I can do is smile because that’s not ever how our Great God works. God is with me and He knows all that is going on in my life. He has blessed me immeasurably. He offered me His amazing grace and gift of eternal life when I choose to follow Jesus. When I stop to gaze on the author and finisher of my faith, I see He is always with me. I’m blessed daily because God is omnipresent in my life.
What shows us God’s omnipresence?
God’s forever with us,
