1 Corinthians 2:9-10 NIV 2011

However, as it is written: “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived”—the things God has prepared for those who love him—these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit.

The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.

Paul wrote in verses 7 and 12, “God’s wisdom, a mystery that has been hidden,” and “the Spirit who is from God.” Both of these statements affirm what he quoted and stated. These blessings were received then and in the future. It is through the Spirit believers receive God’s plans for life. God’s grace was shown in Jesus’ sacrificial death on the cross once and for all. Death has no sting for those who trust in the finished work of Jesus. Hope for all believers is built upon a firm faith in Jesus Christ.

How many times have we said, “I hope everything is OK.” Hope is a word we throw around but looking at what it means to have hope offers me clarity. Through a step-by-step walk with Jesus, daily I know exactly where my hope lies. When I say that to non-believers, what I’m saying is I have hope in Him. It’s my opportunity to pray they do find their hope. My faith is firm because I know Him intimately and He is my Hope.

How will we share our hope with others today?

With firm faith,
