I always thank my God for you because of his grace given you in Christ Jesus. For in him you have been enriched in every way—with all kinds of speech and with all knowledge.
Paul continually thanked God for the people met during his missionary journeys. He was aware and shared grace came through Jesus Christ. Romans 1:8, “First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you.” The Apostle John delineated how grace was given. John 1:17, “For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.” Jesus Christ is the Word. John 1:14, “The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.” Grace comes as a gift from Christ, the Son.
I walked into our Sun City ticket office this afternoon. A wonderful woman named Charlotte sat behind the desk. Our conversation began after I purchased tickets. I was unsure why I’d waited until the afternoon to go. As we chatted, she shared a bit about herself. It was then that I knew exactly why I’d waited. I shared about my dad’s stroke. God gave my parents His gracious gift, ten years together after his stroke. God used me as His gift of grace to my new friend.
