Psalm 33:20-22 NIV 2011
We wait in hope for the Lord; he is our help and our shield.
In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name.
May your unfailing love be with us, Lord, even as we put our hope in you.
This is a psalm with no author noted. One commentator wrote of the first voices, “Most likely the voices of the Levitical choir are heard in this psalm.” The people responded to the choir by giving thanks and waiting. Psalm 107:1, “Give thanks to the Lord for he is good.” Psalm 27:14, “Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.” They trusted God. Psalm 56:11, “In God I trust and am not afraid.” God’s love is unfailing. Psalm 6:4, “Turn, Lord and deliver me; save me because of your unfailing love.” Those who trust in the Lord receive His unfailing love.
This morning we made a fairly early departure in two vehicles for a trip to the pass. We were off to harvest a Christmas tree with our daughter’s family. Finding “the tree” just in time we beat the trail of cars coming up the forest service road. The noise the car was making ended after a car stopped us on our downhill drive. The littlest one slept while the rest of the family trimmed the tree. God’s unfailing love was visible throughout the day.
How does trusting God reveal His unfailing love daily?
Loved by God,
