Psalm 5:1-3 NIV 2011

Listen to my words, Lord consider my lament. Hear my cry for help, my King and my God for to you I pray.

In the morning, Lord you hear my voice in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly.

David is an example of a man devoted to the Lord that experienced numerous times of trouble. In the midst of men lying about him, David chose to go to the Lord in prayer seeking God’s direction. Psalm 17:1a, “Here me, Lord, my plea is just; listen to my cry.” He knew God was mighty and powerful. Psalm 44:4, “you are my King and my God, who decrees victorious for Jacob.” God listens and hears His people. Psalm 56:3, “When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.” God hears the prayers of His penitent faithful people.

PT day three included using a recumbent bike as well as a few new exercises. Between the new exercises and lack of sufficient water during my day, at 3am I awoke with leg cramps on top of leg cramps. The aspirin I took offered no relief and neither did massaging my leg. I turned to the Lord in prayer asking for the pain to subside enough to go back to sleep. Well, sleep came returned until eight this morning. Why do I wait to pray? God heard and answered my prayer.

How is prayer a daily part of our lives?

God hears us pray,
