Jeremiah 23:24, Matthew 28:20, Psalm 139:7 NIV 2011
“Who can hide in secret places so that I cannot see them?” declares the Lord. “Do not I fill heaven and earth?” declares the Lord.
“And teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence?
Jeremiah quoted the Lord’s words to His people in Judah and Jerusalem promising exile tempered with restoration. He reminded them the Lord God was always present in their lives. Matthew quoted Jesus words with a similar message. He was God in the flesh, “God with us” from Matthew 1:23. David’s Psalm stated the Holy Spirit was always with him because he was consistently in His presence. God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit are each present in a believer’s life.
St. Patrick was a bishop and patron saint of Ireland. Legend credits Patrick with using a three leaf shamrock to explain Christianity’s belief in the Trinity to the Irish. Contemporary leaders have used ice, water and steam, three-forms of H2O, as another illustration of the Trinity. Neither illustration is perfect. These three Scriptures all validate the same divine characteristics of all three. The Father, Son and Holy Spirit are all three God present daily in a believer’s life.
Where do we see each at work in our lives?
