Psalm 103:20-22 NIV 2011
Praise the Lord, you his angels, you mighty ones who do his bidding, who obey his word. Praise the Lord, all his heavenly hosts, you his servants who do his will. Praise the Lord, all his works, everywhere in his dominion.
Praise the Lord, my soul.
This psalm of David begins and ends with praise. Psalm 103:1, “Praise the Lord, ,my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name.” David would consistently praise the Lord in all situations. Psalm 28:6, “Praise be to the Lord, for he has heard my cry for mercy.” He was thankful for the angels that served the Father. Psalm 104:4, “He makes winds his messengers, flames of fire his servants.” The psalms are filled with praise. Psalm 71:6b, “I will ever praise you.” The Lord God Almighty is worthy of praise.
When was the last time you praised God? It’s become a part of my routine when I pray. Beginning with praise for all I’ve seen God do in my life leads me to thank him for the way He’s at work preparing me to petition Him and ask for forgiveness for the many sins I’ve committed. When I get to the end of a particularly hard day, I start by reading Psalm 1, 7, 8, 23, 100, 103-106. Why? Because the Lord God Almighty is worthy of my praise daily!
What are the ways we will praise God today?
Faithfully praising Him together,
