Jeremiah 29:4,12-13 NIV 2011

This is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says to those I carried into exile from Jerusalem to Babylon:

“Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you see me with all your heart.”

Jeremiah sent a letter to all the survivors in Jerusalem. God’s people were to call on the Lord through prayer. Zechariah 13:9b, “They will call on my name and I will answer them; I will say, ‘They are my people,’ and they will say, ‘The Lord is our God.’” God would hear their prayers. Psalm 145:19, “He fulfills the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cry and saves them.” Jesus said in Matthew 7:7, “Ask and it will be given to you…” God invites His people to seek Him with all their heart in prayer.

A text this morning was a request to pray. I responded with three praying hands, immediately going to the Lord in prayer. Confession of sins began my prayer. Cleansed, it was time to pour my heart out to God, asking Him to watch over the situation and be with the family. Five hours later, a follow up text arrived. Our prayers had been answered and the situation was resolved in His perfect timing. Thankful to seek Him with all my heart.

What stands in the way of seeking Him daily?

His prayer warriors,
