Psalm 89:15-17 NIV 2011
Blessed are those who have learned to acclaim you, who walk in the light of your presence, Lord. They rejoice in your name all day long; they celebrate your righteousness. For you are their glory and strength, and by your favor you exalt our horn.
Adam and Eve were created in the image of God. Genesis 1:27, “So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created the.” Man was created to worship God. Adam and Eve chose to stop looking to God. Sin entered the world forever changing it. Worship is commanded by God. David knew he was called to worship the Lord. Psalm 29:2, “Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name; worship the Lord in the splendor of his holiness.” True worship of God comes from the hearts of His people.
Sitting in church on Sunday is one way to worship the Lord. I believe God wants us to find our satisfaction and joy in Him alone. Gazing out the window looking west, I see the white snow meet the blue sky and smile at the beauty God created today. What I’ve found, sitting in front of my computer and writing each day, I’m fulfilling God’s call with joy filled obedience by doing it to the glory of God. This is my true worship of God which daily comes from my heart.
How will we walking in His presence today?
Worship filled hearts,
