Acts 2:2-4a NIV 2011

Suddenly a sound like the flowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit…

The disciples and others were all together at Pentecost. Acts 1:14, “They all joined together constantly in prayer, along with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers.” Moses saw the Lord in Exodus 3:2, “There the angel of the Lord appeared to him in flames of fire from within a bush. Moses saw that though the bush was on fire it did not burn up.” Jesus promised the Holy Spirit. Luke 24:49, “I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high.” Jesus is the reigning fire from Heaven.

The filling of the Holy Spirit is a daily event for me. Refreshed and renewed, I began to stretch myself this morning by outlining a weekly Joshua Bible Study. This started with a reply post on fb about remaining in God’s Word over the summer. I committed to read through the book of Joshua and a dear friend asked if I would lead this as a Bible Study. I trust the Holy Spirit for filling.

Where is the Holy Spirit moving you today?

Trusting Him,
