Romans 10:12-13 NIV 2011
For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
Paul wrote of his prayer offered for “the Israelites that they may be saved.” He prayed for the churches in Ephesians 1:15-23, 3:14, Philippians 1:9-11, Colossians 1:3-14, 1 Timothy 1:2-3, 2 Timothy 1:3, 11-12. At the foot of the cross, all stand on level ground. There is no difference between each individual who decides to follow Jesus. All are sinners in need of a Savior. Paul used part of Joel 2:28-32 to emphasize his point. Peter quoted the same passage from Joel when he addressed the crowd in Acts 2:17-21 at Pentecost ending with Joel 2:32a, “And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Calling on Jesus for salvation saves all.
Meeting Christ at a young age, there were many Christians I held in high esteem because of their great faith. The more I study God’s Word and take to heart what is there I understand the fallacy in those thoughts. Every single person that has walked this earth is a sinner, except for Jesus Christ. No one is worthy, not one. I am thankful all believers come with all sorts of “baggage.” Daily, people call on Jesus name and He saves them all.
Who needs to know Jesus saves?
Saved by Jesus,
