Psalm 34:1-3 NIV 2011
I will extol the Lord at all times; his praise will always be on my lips. I will glory in the Lord; let the afflicted hear and rejoice. Glorify the Lord with me; let us exalt his name together.
Once again David gave praise to the Lord for delivering him and answering his prayer. Paul as well continually gave thanks to God in every circumstance. Ephesians 5:20, “always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Both were godly examples to anyone in difficult situations as they gloried in the Lord. 1 Corinthians 1:31, “Therefore, as it is written: ‘Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord.’” When hard pressed, David rejoiced in the Lord because God was always with him. God used David directing Israel to Him. God is worthy to be praised, glorified and exalted.
Walking through the People of the Promised Land 1 in BSF this year, I’ve once again seen King David stumble but get up again and again. Anointed King by God, he is still a sinner just like me. God chose him, just as He chose me. I was redeemed through the precious blood of Jesus Christ. I am a child of the King. God has great expectations of me just as He did David. Imprinted on my heart, my God is worthy of my praise, glory and exaltation.
What makes God worthy of praise today?
Daily glorifying God together,
