Psalm 91:15-16 NIV 2011
He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will protect him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.
The psalter ended this Psalm with assurance that God hears and answers His people. He reiterates God’s protection remains during the rough patches of life. God not only protects and delivers but also honors those who walk faithfully with Him. 1 Samuel 2:30, “Therefore the Lord, the God of Israel declares…’Those who honor me I will honor.’” Jesus declared God would honor those that served Him. John 12:26b, “My father will honor the one who serves me.” Salvation awaits those who follow the Lord. Psalm 50:23, “and to the blameless I will show my salvation.” The Lord God Almighty hears, answers, protects, delivers and saves all who belong to Him.
After writing the daily, going through Psalm 91 has affirmed how God shows up daily as I write. I sit back at the halfway point and just marvel at the truths He reveals because without Him I am nothing. Jeremiah 29:11, “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’” He called and I answered just as I call on Him each day. I belong to The Lord God Almighty.
