1 Chronicles 16:11-14 NIV 2011
Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always. Remember the wonders he has done, his miracles, and the judgment he pronounced, you his servants, the descendants of Israel, his chosen ones, the children of Jacob. He is the Lord our God; his judgments are in all the earth.
David was God’s appointed king of Israel who brought the Ark of the Covenant to Jerusalem. After presenting burnt offerings and fellowship offerings before God, David followed the Lord’s instructions, appointing men to serve the Lord. David’s words given to the Lord’s servants began and ended with worship and praise. They were to lead their people to first seek the Lord. Seeking and remembering God was a reminder: God is worthy. 2 Chronicles 7:14, “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face…” Worship and praise of the Father is appropriate in all circumstances.

But like the Israelites, there are days when I forget because I cross my arms, I silently think I know what I’m doing and I’ve got this. Inevitably it doesn’t end well for me. Beginning my day today, I’ve worshipped and praised God for this beautiful day.
How have you worshiped and praised God today?
Daily praising Him,
