Psalm 46:10, 139:23-24 NIV 2011
He says, “Be still and know that I am God.”
Search me, God and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
All knowing God is in control. David prayed asking God to examine his heart to see his everlasting devotion. He delineates all God knows; every thing he does and undertakes, how and what he pursues all the while knowing his thoughts and words before he speaks. God knew David. Job asked God to look and see if he was the reason for his situation. Job 31:6, “let God weigh me in honest scales and he will know that I am blameless.” David ended with seeking God’s direction. Psalm 5:8, “Lead me, Lord…make your way straight before me.” God is omnipresent and omniscient.
In a discussion last night, being transparent I shared, “sometimes I put God in a box.” Even though I know in my head He’s much greater, there are times when I’m sure it’s not His concern. When I examine that sentence I can only smile and laugh at how tiny my perception of God really is. He is in the details of my life. God is especially in the small things that make me happy. A casural thought making me smile, that is my God. He is omnipresent and omniscient.
How is God present in our daily lives?
He’s our Almighty God,
