1Kings 8:57-58 NIV 2011

The seven-year construction of the Lord’s Temple was complete. King Solomon offered prayers at the Temple of the Lord. He then gave the Israelites information; God had faithfully kept all the promises He’d given to King David. By being obedient to the Lord, they would exalt Him. Just as Joshua had done with the Israelites upon possessing the Promised Land, God wanted their hearts turned toward Him. Joshua 24:23, “yield your hearts to the Lord, the God of Israel.” 1Kings 8:60, “And may your hearts be fully committed to the Lord your God.” Hearts yielded to God guide His people to obedience.

From teaching our youngest granddaughter “Good Morning God” to telling the woman seated next to me I’ll be praying for her sister, I’ve listened to Him. I will obediently yield my heart to Him.
How do our lives reflect obedience to God?
