Mark 10:27, Ephesians 2:8 NIV 2011
Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.”
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—
After speaking to the wealthy man unwilling to give up everything and follow Jesus, He answered His disciples’ question about salvation. Salvation is a choice every person must make. All who choose to accept Him as Lord of their life are capable of making seemingly impossible decisions. The disciples made those when they left all they had to follow Him. The Lord chose Paul to be His apostle to the Gentiles. Paul surrendered everything and followed Him. He suffered injustice, imprisonment and scorn but he chose the impossible task and finished the race. Nothing is impossible with God.
Looking ahead for some it may seem impossible to get back to normal. As a follower of Jesus Christ, I know I have this moment right now but don’t know about the next. I’ve been called to serve Him daily in any way He leads me. Sitting here and writing is one way He’s called me and I love to serve Him. Being kind to my sweet husband is another. Smiling behind a face mask at the grocery store still another. There’s no shadow of doubt nothing is impossible with God.
How will we joyfully do the impossible today with Him?
