Romans 2:22-23 NIV 2011

This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentiles, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God…

Paul offered the Romans insight into righteousness that comes through faith in God. Romans 1:17, “For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: ‘The righteous will live by faith.’” Something happened after God created man in His own image. He’d created a perfect environment for Adam and Eve. They could commune with God at any time. Adam chose to ignore God’s restriction. He lied to God. Sin entered the world and made mankind sinners. God sent Christ to pay sins penalty on the cross. Faith in Christ saves sinners separated from God.

Meeting a person for the first time it’s hard to figure out if they are a believer or not. Even conversations don’t really give the full picture. We all look the same until we actually open up and let others know who we are in Christ. During this time of separation from family and friends, I see people in the grocery store or Costco wearing a mask. I’m sad because I can’t get close enough to just chat. But I’m daily aware I’m still a sinner once separated from God and saved by Jesus.

Where will we share our salvation story?

Thankful we’re saved,
