Genesis 1:1-2 NIV 2011

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.

God has been and always will be God. He had no beginning and has no end. Psalm 102:25, “In the beginning you laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands.” Isaiah 40:21, “Do you not know? Have not heard? Has it not been told you from the beginning? Have you not understood since the earth was founded?” Christianity stands on the Truth that God is the creator. God has always been. John 1:1, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit were each a part of creation.

I was zooming with my youngest grandson this morning. Yesterday he wanted to know something about history so I was prepared to talk with him about family history. He said, “No, I want to know about God.” I opened my new large print NIV Bible and started at the beginning, Genesis 1:1. After listening he said, “But I want to know about God.” I stated God’s Word says He created the universe. I asked him if he believed God did that, His answer, “Yes. God created the heavens and the earth.”

Who needs to know God’s history?

Sharing Him daily,
