1 Corinthians 8:6 NIV 2011

Yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live.

There were conflicting beliefs in the Corinthian community regarding the food purchased in the markets. The food’s origin mattered not to God. Deuteronomy 6:4, “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.” All believers are part of God’s family. Romans 11:36, “For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen!” Paul wanted them to know God knew their hearts and whether the food had been sacrificed to idols or it had not didn’t matter. God continually looks at the heart of His faithful. God knows and loves those who know Him.

It is amazing what is unknown about the current virus that has taken center stage since January. This medical situation has made an impact across the globe. The one Truth that remains constant in my life is God knows exactly what is going on around our world. Daily there are those like the Corinthians that have opinions about the future. But they are only that, opinions. Only God knows how this will all end. We are comforted because we belong to Him. God knows and loves us because we know Him.

How well does God know us?

Loved and known by God,
