Romans 8:36-37 NIV 2011
As it is written: “For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
Paul closed his letter to the church after reminding the Roman’s that God is just. In verse 34 he revealed Jesus died for the sins of all and is now seated at the right hand of God. He intercedes for those who follow Him. In verse 36 Paul quoted Psalm 44:22, which is a reminder that suffering has been and always will be, present in the lives of those that follow Jesus. His stated God’s love was evident to those who walked with Jesus as He walked to the cross. Through Christ, Christians are more than conquerors because of God’s love.

All Believers have “stuff” that must be conquered in our lives. Some have marriages that fail, others have a penchant toward outside activity or alcohol to numb the daily routine and still others feel pressed upon by those in authority. The one constant is God’s Word applies to our lives just as it did 3000 plus years ago. We’re more than conquerors through Jesus Christ because God loves us.
What needs conquering daily?
Together we’re more than conquerors,
