1 John 5:13-14 NIV 2011
I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life. This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.
The apostle John affirmed the believer’s walk of faith. 1 John 3:23a, “And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ…” Their belief In Jesus Christ gave them eternal life. John 5:11, “And this is the testimony; God has given us eternal life, and this life is in the Son.” Believers may approach the Father with confidence. 1 John 3:21, “Dear friends, if our hears do not condemn us, we have confidence before God.” Jesus said, Matthew 7:7, “Ask and it will be given to you.” God hears His people’s prayers.
At salvation I was given eternal life. A text response to “sisters-in-Christ” by my friend typed, “Eternal sisters.” I loved that response. As one of four sisters, I do have both those relationships with them. Through prayer we’ve all grown closer to the Lord. Praying with other women whom I now refer to as eternal sisters our bond grows closer through prayer. Matthew 18:20, “For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I with them.” Daily I am confident God hears our corporate prayers.
How do we know God hears our prayers?
Eternal sister/brother prayer partners,
