In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will, in order that we, who were the first to put our hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory.
Paul’s letter to church at Ephesus differs from some of his other letters. The faithful were to walk in love, wear the full armor of God, bare fruit, live wisely and love one another. He did not address particular errors or heresy but rather enlarged their understanding of God’s eternal purpose: grace alone through Christ alone. God calls believers to look different than non-believers. Paul prayed. Ephesians 3:16-17a, “I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith.” Jesus is our Glorious Treasure.
Having lived the majority of my life walking with Jesus I daily experience His presences. The more I study God’s Word, the more I know Jesus as He dwells in my heart. He has taken a timid young woman unsure of what my future would be and transformed me into a confident woman of God. The Holy Spirit has guided me through some pretty tough times by helping me persevere. Everything that’s happened to me proved Jesus is my Glorious Treasure.
