Hebrews 9:11-12 NIV 2011

But when Christ came as high priest of the good things that are now already here, he went through the greater and more perfect tabernacle that is not made with human hands, that is to say, is not part if this creation.

Jesus’ death on the cross was the final sacrifice that would save sinners. The book of Leviticus is filled with the priestly duties given to Aaron through Moses. The priests were chosen to enter the earthly tabernacle with the sacrifices given to the Lord. Jesus came to save sinners. Hebrews 2:17, “faithful high priest in service to God, and that he might make atonement for the sins of the people.” After His death, the temple curtain was torn and not needed. Jesus entered the presence of the Father and intercedes for all who follow Him. Believers have access to the Father through Jesus Christ.

I’ve witnessed up close and personal this week believers praying for each other and seeing His answers to those prayers. When we share our needs with fellow believers, those shared needs seem lighter because we’ve shared the burden. Isolation can lead to sin. God wants me to be in communion with Him daily. He also wants me to be in fellowship with fellow believers. Meeting here each day helps keep me in fellowship with Him and you virtually. Together we have access to the Father through Jesus Christ.

With whom will you share your burdens?

Sharing access to God,
