Exodus 15:1-2a NIV 2011
Then Moses and the Israelites sang this song to the Lord: “I will sing to the Lord, for he is highly exalted. Both horse and driver he has hurled into the sea. The Lord is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation.”
This is the Song of Moses and Miriam. It celebrated the victory of the Lord after the Israelites fled Pharaoh and his army across the dry sea bed. The Israelites saw God’s mighty hand and trusted him. Exodus 14:31b, “The people feared the Lord and put their trust in him and in Moses his servant.” The psalter knew God was strong. Psalm 118:4, “The Lord is my strength and my defense…” Isaiah trusted God with his life. Isaiah 12:2, “…I will trust and not be afraid.” The Lord is strong, trustworthy and saves His people.
There is no one like our God. When beginning my day with that in mind, my day always goes much better. To be like Miriam singing praise to the Lord, puts a smile on my face. Singing praise to our Great God is a great way to start my day. 1 Samuel 2:2, “…there is no one beside you: there is no Rock like our God.” In light of the world today, we need to daily trust Him. God is stronger than any virus or event graciously saving each of us.
How is God accomplishing His plans for you?
Strengthened by the Lord,
